The pigs were flying high tonight! 40m was in the best shape in a long time. Lots of strong QRP signals. Propagation was unusual though; it favored the northeast more so than the mid west. Worked 4 VE3’s & a VE1. But no MI or WI, strange. 6 Q’s on 80 helped the S/P/C count, but 80m was noisy as usual. Next month we should see 20 pick up as we head into spring. Very 72 to all, and to all OO! Dick, W5TA

FT1000MP, 5W, WM-2 QRP Wattmeter, dipole, zepp, inverted vee. No signals heard on 20. 40M was pretty good to most of the country except for close by states. 80M was good also to the eastern part of the country and west to TX. Very little QRN despite heavy rains from a front moving past. I will also be looking for all of you in the NAQCC Sprint on Wednesday night. Thanks for all the QSOs. 73/72, John, K4BAI.

Icom 703 to a ground mounted vertical. Boy Texas was in there tonight. QSOed 7 of you guys. Thanks! 40 meters seemed a little long at the start I thought. 80M late pulled in the closer states OH, MI, MO, PA, TN and some others. A fun RFTB. This is a great monthly sprint.

Very good condx this evening with a lot of oinks in the mix. Good to see a fair number of non piggies also. Stayed on 40M the whole time as it seemed to be the best option. Dick W5TA had a good signal to the PNW the whole time. Equipment--IC756P3 and 40-2D 2 el yagi. 72 and CU next month OO

The Bacon was SMOKIN' for this sprint, best conditions on weak signals in a long time. Many piggies heard squeelin' & oinkin' on 40m & 80m. Nice turn-out from the pig-pen!
73 & Oink Oink!

First QRP event since getting my Yaesu 817ND. Had a lot of fun operating from the ARRL Employee Club Station W1HQ. Antennas were dipoles on 40/80 running through my MFJ-941C antenna tuner. Operating with a station that can fit in a laptop PC bag is a heck of a lot of fun! I will be on for the next one in April. 72 es thanks for the QSOs. All QSOs have been uploaded to LOTW. -Sean

Always look forward to this contest/sprint - it's an opportunity to try out simple/different antennas. Tonight I was using a 40 foot wire thrown into a tree with a 15 foot counterpoise and my sierra with a T1 tuner. All Q's were on 40m, couldn't tune 80 so I don't know what that band was like. Anyway, thanks to all for the contacts. See ya down the log.

Fair showing for his month, but far better than last month. Most of the Q's were on 40 with 2 on 80. 40 meter Band went long about 02:10 UTC

Good signals on 40 for a change! K2 at 5w to Inv-L. Good to hear and work quite a few. Stayed on 40 for the time I was on (about 45 minutes.) Did not hear anyone on 80 for a change. Maybe the summer prop has kicked in? Would be nice. Thanks to all, dave, ab9ca/4

Nice to hear good, steady, if not particularly strong, signals on 40 meters tonight with no QSB or RITTY QRM. I really need to figure out a way to get on 80 meters. Nice to be able to work YV4AB in the middle of the Bacon Run. Best QRP signal tonight into FL was VE3KQN on 3 watts. Thanks for the fun. Gotta run outside now and put my black spray-painted vertical back in the garage before the HOA sees it!

Well I couldn't get out tonight, but I sure did hear some great signals! KB9BVN, I had to turn my radio down when I heard you! 599 all the way! W9ILF, another good signal. There were others, but I kind of got side tracked, and was listening to a couple of others on a nice little rag chew.
I really need to get my radio fixed...and soon! Hi Hi

I heard N2JNZ, but couldn't nab him. Heard a couple other guys as well. There seemed to be a big glob of weak sigs right around 3602. I tried to pick out a "CQ FP" but before I could, some guy with a S9+20 sig chirping like a drunk canary blew out my eardrums. After I got my hearing back, I tuned down to 3550 and had a quick rag chew with W0FVR in South Dakota. This was my first RFTB entry... wish I coulda had a QSO to show for it!!!
