FT1000MP, 5W output, 88' CF zepp, 40M dipole, 80M inverted vee dipole. 20M: 10 QSOs and 8 mults; 40M: 29 QSOs in 18 mults; 80M: 7 QSOs in 6 mults. Thanks for the QSOs. Glad to have met some of you at Dayton. 20M was pretty good at first to W1/2/5/6/0 and VE3. Probably open to W7 areas too, but didn't hear any. 40M had good signals for a while. 80M had high QRN, but did QSOs those who kept at it until the end. Took about 15 mins off to run two traffic net skeds during the contest period. Better activity this month, I think. See you all next month. 73/72, John, K4BAI.

AA4XX, Paul, 5W     fpqso=31 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=11 spc=30 total=3120
Argonaut II, 40M wirebeam, 20M Lazy H, 80M dipole Sure was fun to be back with my piggie friends after a long hiatus. The boys out West were doing a great job on 40M. 80M was quite noisy in NC tonight. See Y'all next month.

W0PQ, Dave, 5W     fpqso=34 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=8 spc=25 total=2750
Here in Nebraska 20M conditions were improved from April. I changed frequency to 40M after about 40 minutes. I operated the full two hours. 40M was not as good as April due to QRN. Only three western states worked - CA, UT & CO. I'm operating a K1 to a G5RV dipole. I did not hear some of the regulars this time. My apologies if you called and I didn't respond. I started out by listening and pouncing, then changed to calling CQ with better results. This was my best score since being a part of the oinkers. Hope to hear more of the old gang next time. 72/73 to all. #1361

W2GB, John, 5w     fpqso=21 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=7 spc=19 total=1330
Glad to hear lots of activity. Always a couple hours of fun had a ball. Hope to see everyone next month

Another nice Run-for-the-Bacon with lot's-o-piggies oinkin' out there. Good band conditions and an all around good nite. 72 & OO to all.

Rig: Icom 703/ground mounted vertical I had a great run. Some HUGE signals including AA4XX, we exchanged antenna info right on the air. NICE JOB Paul with your 2 elem wire ant!! You TX stations were awesome too. There was some fantastic propagation between TX and IN on the start of the sprint on 20M. I expect someone to break 50 QSO's this sprint! (I'm hoping) I had to shut down with 45 min left but boy it was fun. oo!

AF4LQ, Mike, 3w     fpqso=19 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=4 spc=16 total=976
Wilderness Sierra @3w, 44ft doublet @25ft, worked 20/40m. A fun event with good folks, as always. Sure was nice to see 20m open, with good signals from all over. Thanks for the fun and Q's and best wishes to all.

My best RFTB ever, 20 was great. Was surprised I didn't see more people on 40 and didn't hear anyone on 80. See everyone next month.

wa9vee, Wayne, 5W     fpqso=15 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=2 spc=13 total=611
Local hairdryer (I think) QRN lost me 15min at front end. Heard nothing on 20&80. 40M pooped out last 1/2 hour. Sorry for those last QSOs that I just couldn't pull out. We'll try again next time.

wb1hga, ron silvia, 4.5     fpqso=13 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=3 spc=10 total=420
enjoyed this. Glad to have an antenna back up. QSB is annoying

WB5BKL, Nick, 5W     fpqso=12 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=1 spc=11 total=407
K3 + 40M EDZepp. Had fun in my second Run. My personal thanks to the volunteers who help put this on. Family responsibilities limit my radio time and this 2 hour contest is a great fit for me. 73 to all.

w1pid, Jim Cluett, 5W     fpqso=12 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=1 spc=11 total=407
I operated for a half hour with the IC-703 and Windom OCF dipole. Good activity. Thanks to all 73 Jim W1PID

My first Run for the Bacon event and, in spite of crummy condxs out here in Utah, enjoyed myself. Had 16 QSOs - 5 non-member and 11 members and worked 10 S/P/Cs; six Qsos were on 20 meters and 10 on 40. We, out here in never never land are envious of the mid-west and eastern states as far as conditions at these early evening hour times! I see where K4BAI says he didn't work into W7 land but he did as he's in the log and my QTH is St. George, Utah Hi Hi. Rig is an ICOM 735 cranked down and a Gap Eagle but hope to have a new ATS-3B for my rig next month! 73/72 Jim R.

w6gmt, Brock Thomsen, 5 watts     fpqso=11 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=2 spc=10 total=350
Great run for the bacon. The first Run this year from The MN QTH. 40 Meters was in good shape here. Lots of pigs on the air. Worked some new ones aways Fun. 72 Brock

WA5RML, Andy, 5 W     fpqso=9 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=4 spc=10 total=310
IC703 at 5 wts to a vertical (20M) and G5RV (40M). Vibroplex bug - hope copy wasn't too difficult! Nice to get some QSOs in on 20M at the start of the event. Then moved to 40M for the bulk of the QSOs. Nothing on 80M, local QRN was bad, but I also have some very bad RFI around QRP calling freq! Highlights were: (1) Working Randy, K7TQ on 20M and 40M, (2) Working John (K4BAI) on 20M, (3) Dave, W0PQ had the most consistently strong signal on 40M - good job!, and (4) Tom, KA2KGP in NY - we really had to work for this one. "Ones that got away" were: AA4XX (Paul), W2GB (John), Brian (KB9BVN), and Wayne (WA9VEE)- e.g. I heard them, but we couldn't complete the exchange. I'll get them next month! Thanks to all for a lot of fun: K7TQ, K4BAI, AF4LQ, N6GA, WB5BKL, NO2D, K9JWV, K5GQ, AE5GT, W0PQ, KK5NA (good DX - 1 mile away!), and KA2KGP.

bands really noisy here tonight..but managed 10 states on a longwire with 5 watts..

no2d, Peter Inskeep, 4.9 watts     fpqso=10 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=1 spc=9 total=279
First time entrant. Enjoyed activity on 40 meters. Tried 80, but not good for me here in Colorado, so went back to 40 meters. Thanks, NO2D

N9AKF, Bart, 5W     fpqso=9 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=2 spc=9 total=261
This was my first FP sprint. Had lots of fun! Used my AT Sprint 3A with random wire antenna and HB SK. Didn't try 20m, made two qs on 80m (very noisy) and 7 on 40m. I'm looking forward to next month's sprint. 72, Bart

This was my first Run for the Bacon. I appreciate the contacts. My CW was rusty. I hadn't run a contest since last FD. Once again I appreciate the infinite patience of the other OPS.

k5jhp, Bill, 5 w     fpqso=8 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=0 spc=8 total=192
K2 5W 20 meter EDZ Kinda noisy on 40 but made a few contacts. Didn't hear too many stations on tonight. Maybe too tired after Dayton, hi hi.. Be here next month..

VE3KQN, Jim, 4 watts     fpqso=9 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=0 spc=7 total=189
Really tough slugging with some quick changing bands. I started on 20m, made 1 QSO and the band went out. Dropped down to 40 and grabbed another 6 amidst a lot of QRN and QSB then dropped down and finished off on 80m which was surprisingly quiet and made 2 more. Not exactly a terrific showing but it was fun regardless. Using my Sierra at 4 watts and my indoor magnetic loop antenna. 4 Ops answered my CQ's and 5 I had to hunt for. See ya next month!

N2COD, Mike Perry, 5     fpqso=10 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=1 spc=6 total=186
A real nice evening for gruntin' & oinkin' on the bands. Many piggies heard out there and pretty good conditions too. 72 from the Pig Pen here in WNY. Oink-Oink

k4ksr, Bill Cunningham, 100 mW     fpqso=7 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=0 spc=6 total=126
Fun at 100 mW, particularly at beginning. Nil heard on 80m.

KD2MX, Paul, 5W     fpqso=6 fpdxqso=0 nonfpqso=1 spc=6 total=114
20M started out great with my first QSO being a W6. Some good strong signals but then activity (or the band) died away. 40M wasn't as good.

I was too tired from working outside all day Sunday. A church friend offered me a lot of wood on his lot so we loaded up two big loads of wood in my trailer. Had to cut it into rounds and toss them over a fence before loading. Spent several hours at this and my 60yr old body was sore. Radio just wasn't very attractive. Next month God willing. oo paul ng7z
