Usual summer static made it a tough two hours. Somehow pulled three Qs out of the noise on 80M before finishing with a headache. Some strong sigs on 20 & 40, but as usual 20M folded quickly. Thanks for the Qs!

First time on the air as a FP'er and the first time in a very long time operating QRP! Patience is a virtue...
I got started at the last minute and have a lot to learn. Did all the logging and sending by hand; could not find a contest format for N1MM to do logging and sending in the modern fashion.
Only had a hand full of contacts on 20 with 3 states; 40 was much better with the bulk of my QSO's and mults; and I sort of ran out of time on 80, but manages 10 Q's and 10 mults! I ran into at least one CW traffic net near 3562 when I first listened to 80 so went back to 40 where I caught NG7Z for WA.
Lots of good patient ops worked and only a very few signals above an honest 579 here in northern Virginia.
Thanks for the gentle introduction, folks; see you in the next Run for the Bacon!

FT1000MP, 5W, TH6DXX, zepp, dipole, inverted vee. 20M was very disappointing. Worked CA, WA, UT. Couldn't get Bert, K6CSL, to hear me. Thought I heard K3DCB working NG7Z, but no signals from the east or midwest otherwise. Had hoped for better as there was a strong VE2 just before 02Z. 40M was very good this month, but was unable to work anyone west of TX except NG7Z. Did hear AC6YY, but always when he was calling or working someone else. 80M was much better than last month, despite a lot of QRN, probably from the tropical storm approaching the FL Panhandle. Thanks for all QSOs. Hope to work you all next month. Congrats to N4BP and W5TM for super scores. Look for me on 20M as a QRP Fox this Tuesday night. 73/72, John, K4BAI.

K2 & K3. Dipoles on 80 & 40 and a tribander. Lots of static, seemed 20 closed early. N4SAM the only three bander.

Great turnout tonight. Lots of little piggies around. Spent the first 30 min on 20 then took a break for 20 min since 40 usually is useless until 7pm local. Boy, was that a mistake. Signals were great. I should have stayed in the chair. Made 20 q's on 40 for more than half the total. Things peetered out after half an hour. Came back to finish the last 20 minutes. Nice to see several non FPs take part. Until next month, cul Paul NG7Z

Tough night for hog hollering in Nebraska. Only one QSO on 20M - N4BP, FL. I heard NG7Z on 20M but made no contact. Many stations were heard on 40M but none were strong. I worked only two western states, NG7Z, WA and AD7AN, CA. I'm using a K1 to a G5RV. I'll be looking for the gang again next month. 73's from #1361.

Was a good evening. This is one of my favorite events. 40 was the workhorse here. Managed only 2 Q's on 20 before it got very quiet, 18 on 40, and 4 on 80. Due to the tropical storm coming ashore not too far east of here, the noise was pretty loud. Rig was K2 to either 80m inv vee or 54' inv vee for 20 and 40. Thanks to all who stopped by. There was one stn with 'YY' in their call that I just could not pull out. The QSB was simply too much. Regret that, would have liked to have gotten you into the log. See everyone next month! 73 de dave, ab9ca/4

Enjoyed the run for the bacon event!
Static crashes, and noise signal level going up and down, more than one station calling!

WOW, lots of signals. Bout half way through the QRN got really loud. Working with my K2 tonight and just finished doing alignment on Spectrogram. Seems I have a bit more work to do. LOL ( I still think the pigrig has a better RX ) Hope everyone had fun. See ya'll again !

Worked a few pigs on 20 this time, but 40 was dead here in WNY. 80m wasn't too bad, but pigs were few and not much grunting heard here. Thanks to N5RDN, K5JHP, N4BP, K4BAI, K3DCB, KC4ART, W2SH/1, W4AV, WA8THK, N2COD for pulling me out of the mud & slop. 72 to all, Oink Oink!

T.T. Omni VI @5wts; G5RV for 40M and 20M vertical; Youngest daughter graduated from college today - Congrats Elizabeth! Family committments took precendence, but still managed 10 QSOs. 20M: NG7Z, W4AU; 40M: K9JWV, K4BAI, W8FHF, W0PQ, K3DCB, N4BP, W0LGU, and NG7Z again. Thanks to all of you. With a weekend full of stress, the RFTB was just what the doctor ordered! See everyone next month. Oh! W0PQ had the most consistently good signal during the period that I was active (early & late).

Simply miserable conditions, once again, out here in s/w Utah but the contest is fun - when one can hear anything. 20 meters closed up fast and 40 exhibited rapid QSB. Can hardly wait for the fall and winter months.

Wasn't free to operate the whole time tonight, but thought 40 meters sounded pretty good with some very loud piggies in there and some very proficient ops. Ivin W9ILF & John K4BAI always have such good signals.
My little FT-817 certainly makes it easier than my 2N240.
See you next month. 72/73 oo

Bummer! I Haven't been around on Sunday evenings for a while to play in the RFTB. I only got to play the last 20 minutes of this one, but had a great time. 80 was busy but couldn't get a dit in edgewise so moved to 40. bands were pretty good here. Ran 3w to a doublet at 65 feet from an ATS-3b. Keys were a Vibroplex Blue Racer and a Very nice sideswiper made for me by NT9K, Bill. Great key. Hope to see you next month, thanks to all in the log.

Spent around an hour and a half on 20 and 40, pretty noisy, there were a lot of stations back there I just couldn't pull out. Only worked 7 stations. Thanx, 20: K3DCB, N4BP, NG7Z, W4AU, 40: W8FHF, W4AU again and KC4ART. Used the K2 with the Butternut HF9V at 5W. Didn't hear any of the regulars, K4BAI, W9ILF, KB9BVN or K6BBQ that I usually log, weird conditions.

It is GREAT to be back and especially on the 10th Anniversary of the club! Happy Birthday Big Flying Pig!!! To mark this special event I left home and set up beside the salty waters of the North San Francisco Bay. I had a 40 meter EFHWA as a sloper up 25' in a tree and an 817 at five watts. There were many signals on 30 and 40 meters, while I had mostly QRN at home today. I didn't get on air till halfway through but made a QSO right away. I worked AD7AN and then KH6OZ called me right after my first QSO.
That ended up being it, but I was thrilled to hear so many signals after conditions have been so poor and I was happy to be able to participate in this very special, special event. Oinky oinky wigii wigii

I did copy the full call but never wrote it down but it was 10 minutes of fun trying to make the 2 way with all the band QRN and QSB
Didn't know the rules but sent him my pig number
